How do I connect my laptop to my home wireless network after having the Odyssey Client installed?
The following instructions assume that your home network is configured to use WEP encryption.
Configuring the Odyssey Client to use your WEP-enabled home wireless network
- Click "Start"
- Click "All Programs"
- Click "Funk Software"
- Click "Odyssey Client"
- Click "Odyssey Client Manager"
- Select the "Networks" icon on the left
- Click the "Add" button
- In "Network name (SSID):", enter the SSID for your home Access Point
- In "Description (optional):", enter a descriptive name for this network profile (i.e., Home)
- From the "Network type:" list, choose "Access point (infrastructure mode)"
- From the "Association mode:" list, choose "open"
- From the "Encryption method:" list, choose "WEP"
- From the "Format for entering keys:" list, choose "ASCII characters"
- In "Key 0:", enter the WEP key provided by your Access Point vendor or ISP.
- Standard WEP key lengths are 5 or 13 alphanumeric characters.
Using the Odyssey Client to connect to your WEP-enabled home wireless network
- Open the "Odyssey Client Manager" (see above steps 1-5)
- Select the "Connection" icon on the left
- Ensure the the checkbox is checked next to "Connect to network:"
- From the "Connect to network:" list, choose your home wireless network's name/SSID (given in above steps 8-9)
If your home wireless network is open, and has no encryption, then choosing "Open <[any]>" from the "Connect to network:" list should work.
If you still have problems connecting to your home wireless network, please contact your ISP or the vendor of your Access Point for assistance in configuring the Odyssey Client to work with your home wireless Access Point.

Can I connect my Apple laptop to CougarWave?
Yes. Your Apple laptop must have an AirPort wireless card and be capable of running Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.

What are the minimum system requirements that my laptop should meet to connect to CougarWave?
Windows:
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2
- Wireless Card: Any wireless card that supports WPA-TKIP
Apple:
- Operating System: Mac OSX 10.3 or higher
- Wireless Card: Any AirPort wireless card that will operate on a machine that is capable of running OS X 10.3 or higher
